Tuesday 19th

Milja has been ill again today, this time with a fever and sore throat. She stayed at home, even though she would have preferred to go to school. Instead she has had to revise for two tests she has tomorrow.

I did the school run this morning, picking up Sean and Harrison on the way. Minna also stayed at home as she went to the school at 12 for Matias' dress rehearsal for a play he's in on show this week (she is doing face paints), and because she has a broken tooth that needs seeing to. Heikki left early for work.

About mid-morning the scaffolding arrived for the roof extension/re-modeling. It is not at all like the scaffolding in England/Finland, more like part of a tropical rainforest...

Yesterday and Heikki were late home from work as they were busy picking up a trampoline. It was promised if Matias got good grades recently, which he did (both he and Milja are still doing very well). Milja and I spent a few hours earlier assembling it together and having a quick go. From inside the box it looked quite small but it is actually quite a large beast and takes up a considerable part of the garden. And, as it is black, it is lovely and warm to lie on when it is sunny. We had fun playing with Siru, making her jump for food and seeing her reaction when she landed on a bouncy surface :) She coped really well in fact.

UPDATE: The poles are for the roof, not for scaffolding. My mistake :)
