Just the usual mob

Ervo, Raija and Vieno returned to Finland today. Their flight took off at 7:50am. We had a wonderful time with them. I am happy that the weather here has recently returned to Africa-type warmth so they had at least a few nice days to sit out in the sun and swim.

Last night, to mark their last evening with us, we went out to eat. We tried a sushi place I had never been to (in actual fact I've never been to any I don't think) near the East end of the beach in Hout Bay. It was a great evening. Milja and I tried vegetable sushi, but we also ordered beef so we could eat 'real' food as well :)

It has been boiling here this week. I am sweating inside right now as it happens. It must be nearly 30 degrees. It is so nice having a pool and jumping in (with Matias, it's too cold for Milja!) when they get home from school.

I really want to go surfing today once the school is finished, but I doubt anyone else will want to go. Maybe at the weekend. We haven't been for about a month now I reckon. Now it's much warmer I can't see why we aren't there more.

There is still no work going on with the roof at the moment. Heikki and Minna have been talking with the neighbour who is adament that the new gable will should have no window in it. Heikki came up with the idea of turning that room, therefore, into a movie room and put a projector showing against that outside wall. Good idea. Although it will be a bit dark without that window.

I am at M&H's work today so I have more bandwidth freedom. I am in the middle of doing Java exercises and have just now figured out why the compiler would compile the code but then I couldn't run the file without errors. So now I'm good to go.

I am also hungry and will try and sort that out soon.
