Techincal Tip for Windows Users

As standard, the fonts on Windows machines are jagged and not anti-aliased/smooth (on Macs they are). I found this tip recently which takes care of this and smoothes the edges of all text, making everything look much nicer in my opinion (XP only).

  1. Right-click the desktop and select Properties
  2. Go to Appearance tab
  3. Click on the Effects button
  4. Select ClearType from the second pull-down menu

Some people with older screens (non-LCD) may find that it doesn't really look that good (ie: blurry). But try it out, it might make your computer usage much more pleasant!

Tip from here.
