Ostrich Air

On Thursday last week, Milja and I went to AISCT to watch the latest school play, Ostrich Air. The play is set in an airport terminal, and then in an aeroplane, with the action going on around you as the audience are passengers too.

It was quite a bold play to put on because of the unpredictablity of the audience. We had people trying to get other passengers to take drugs onto the plane, security guards wrongly accusing passengers and some double dating going on. We had to check in and then board and we all found our seats on the plane.

It was the first night they had done the play with an audience and unfortunately it showed. The play was a bit scrappy and stilted and there were some technical problems. Even still, the play was funny and it was interesting and fun being in between all the action. Apparently the next night, when Heikki, Matias and Sinekaya, went a lot smoother.
