The broken car

We went to Sean's last night with his friend Laban who is down from Johannesburg , Sean's home town, for this week. We played fussball, watched Saved, and we were about to play 30 Seconds when Jamie B rang from the bottom of Sean's hill. His car had conked out, so we all went to help.

We took a torch so we could check the engine (it was dark already). The accelarator pedal was limp, and eventually the snapped wire was located. We drove up to Sean's, after Jamie had made sure to take everything from inside the car with him, but as we arrived back in Sean's drive, it was decided that we were going to attempt to push the car up the hill...

Sean's hill is quite steep, especially near the top. We pushed and heaved and managed to push the car maybe 20-30 metres up the hill, including a few breaks, but as momentum slowed, we let the car roll back down slightly into a side road with parking spaces. It was never going to get any further up the hill, even with four guys pushing a tiny Fiat Uno.

I hope it's still there.
